FM is joining the Elesa Group
This deal brings together the two companies’ expertise, aptitude for
innovation and production capacity in the field of components for the
mechanics and automation industry
Correggio, Emilia-Romagna, Italy, 22nd July 2024 – Elesa S.p.A., a leading company in the design and manufacture of components for the mechanics and automation industry, has signed an agreement for acquisition of 100% of the industrial activities of F.M. S.r.l., operating in engineering and moulding of technical products in thermoplastic materials for injection moulding, to be renamed FM Partec® S.p.A.
The deal, to be completed in October 2024, seals a 24-year partnership between the two companies, allows to optimise the synergy of their wealth of technical expertise while simultaneously integrating and strengthening their ongoing aptitude for innovation and their production capacity.
FM’s management and employees will continue to run the company’s activities in synergy with the guidelines of the Elesa Group.
Elesa, founded in 1941 and headquartered in Monza (Italy) with 14 foreign branches, exports over 65,000 high-quality and high-performance products, made from state-of-the-art technopolymers and metals, to more than 60 countries worldwide. Elesa’s ergonomic products with their highly distinctive design, prize with over 56 industrial design awards, are used in diverse areas of application in the mechanics and industrial automation sector.
FM, established in 1974 and located in the heart of Correggio’s plastic industrial district, is a leading manufacturer of components for machinery in the ceramics and industrial automation sector and a technical and technological partner able to support customers with solutions to all issues regarding the manufacture of moulds and articles in thermoplastic materials, from design to end-product delivery.
FM also creates innovative blowing and suction systems for drying, cooling, cleaning and product separation applications in a variety of industrial sectors ranging from agri-food and drinks to ceramics.
FM has an international sales network and exports its products to over 40 countries worldwide.
The company benefits from a research laboratory, FMLab, recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and accredited by the Emilia-Romagna High Technology Network.
Both companies work with prestigious universities: Elesa with Milan Polytechnic and FM with the Universities of Ferrara and Modena and Reggio Emilia.
